Judson ISD is proud to partner with the U.S. Census Bureau to make sure individuals who live within our boundaries get the representation and funding that supports our population.
The U.S. Constitution mandates a census of the population every 10 years. The 2020 Census will count everyone who lives in the U.S. as of April 1, 2020 (Census Day). Census statistics are used to determine the number of seats each state holds in the U.S. House of Representatives and to inform how billions of dollars in federal funds will be allocated by state, local, and federal lawmakers every year for the next 10 years. Beginning in mid-March, households can respond online, by phone or by mail. For more information, visit the Census Bureau website: https://2020census.gov/en.
Everyone living in the United States is asked to complete a simple questionnaire every ten years that asks for basic information about the people who live or sleep in their home. This includes children of any age. Take a look at the flyer below that helps everyone understand the process and the protection of your information. There is also a video that is a good resource as well...just click on the picture below to see it.
