Judson ISD Receives EpiPen Grant for all Schools

EpiPen Grant The program, through a partnership between Mylan and BioRidge Pharma, makes it possible for qualifying schools to receive four free EpiPen® Auto-Injectors at no cost.   Anaphylaxis, a severe and potentially life threatening allergic reaction, can develop and progress quickly, especially among children and adolescents.  Epipens can be lifesaving in these situations.  Judson ISD is a proud recipient of this grant which provides a sense of safety and way to easily assist if a serious allergic reaction occurs.

As the marketer and distributor of EpiPen® Auto-Injector, Mylan is committed to improving access to this important treatment through this grant program.  Head Nurse, Ursula Campbell, who leads many successful health initiatives for the district stated, "Thankfully we were able to receive 32 adult and 32 junior EpiPen kits.  The cost of these kits are $456.00 a box. The grant helped save over $29,000 for our district."  We are fortunate to receive this valuable resource at no cost and appreciate the work our nurses do to keep our students and staff healthy.
