Student and Family Support Services puts on district college fair
Judson ISD hosted the TACRAO College Fair where over 50 colleges, universities, trade schools, and military branches were in attendance to help students “kick off their future goals.”
Students and families from all over the district could visit one-on-one with representatives from institutions of interest to them, no matter what they might hope to do after high school graduation.
Attendees could also attend sessions that provided specific information about completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and information about becoming a member of the armed forces.
JISD Student and Family Support Services along with Wagner High School College Counselor Alissa Perez coordinated the event. Monica Garcia, Executive Director of Family and Student Support Services was excited to provide this opportunity for JISD families.
“We want to make sure our students not only know about their many post-secondary options but also know how to make them a reality,” Garcia said.
