Wagner High School’s boys and girls basketball teams got the surprise of the season when San Antonio Spurs player Devin Vassell stopped by campus with a special gift.
On behalf of Devin Vassell, his family, and JD Sports, every player received a brand-new pair of Nike shoes and a San Antonio Spurs shirt. The visit brought excitement, smiles, and plenty of school spirit as students met one of their favorite NBA stars in person.
During the visit, Vassell encouraged the student-athletes to keep working hard both on and off the court, leaving them with words of inspiration:
“I’m gonna continue pouring into y’all and good luck on this next season.”
