Congratulations to 4th grader Gerald Baum for being named Salinas Elementary’s Superintendent Shining Star. Gerald is a student whose kindness and character shine in every corner of the campus. He is always willing to help others. His genuine compassion and respectful attitude make a meaningful difference in his classroom and beyond.
Throughout the year, Gerald has made excellent choices, whether in class, the hallway, the cafeteria, or at dismissal. His teachers describe him as consistently thoughtful and dependable. For example, he makes a point to include students who may not have many others to play with at recess, ensuring all students feel welcome and supported.
Gerald goes above and beyond the Ranger Way. His empathy, leadership, and positive spirit set a powerful example for others and show what it means to treat people with dignity and kindness.
