We are proud to honor Joshua De Leon, an exceptional senior from Judson High School, as a Superintendent’s Shining Star. Joshua has been a dedicated member of the Rocket Band throughout all four years of high school, and his leadership, talent, and character have made a lasting impact on the program and Judson High School.
This year, Joshua served as center snare and section leader for the drumline, a role that requires both musical excellence and steady leadership. He is always ready to step forward and guide his fellow percussionists at Send‑Offs, celebrations, pep rallies, and other school or district events. His influence continues in Indoor Percussion, where he leads with calm confidence and sets the tone for teamwork and professionalism.
Joshua is also a standout member of the Judson High School Jazz Band, serving as the lead percussionist for the award‑winning ensemble. His versatility across multiple percussion instruments and his high‑level musicianship have earned him distinguished recognition, including 1st chair honors in the TMEA All‑State Jazz Band, an achievement that reflects both skill and dedication.
Beyond his musical accomplishments, Joshua is an exemplary student. He has earned A Honor Roll every semester, ranks in the top 10% of his class, and is a proud recipient of the Rocket Pride Award. He is known for treating others with respect, kindness, and encouragement, making him a trusted leader among his classmates.
Whether performing with the Marching Band, Varsity Concert Band, or Jazz Band, Joshua leads with integrity and brings pride to Judson High School. We are thrilled to recognize him as a Superintendent’s Shining Star. Congratulations, Joshua!
